Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This policy explains what BUCK collects, why, and what we do with it. We keep this short and honest.

1. What we collect

  • Account info: your email and authentication details, handled by our authentication

provider.

  • What you tell BUCK: your goals, income, debts, and anything else you share in

conversation. This is self-reported by you. BUCK does not link to your bank, credit cards, or brokerage, and does not scrape or import your accounts.

  • Conversations: the transcripts of your text and voice sessions, plus summaries BUCK

keeps so it can remember you between conversations.

  • Usage and attribution: basic app usage, and which marketing headline brought you in

(for measuring our own campaigns).

2. How voice works and what we keep

When you talk to BUCK, your audio is sent to a speech-to-text provider, turned into text, and then discarded — we do not store your voice audio. We keep the resulting transcript so BUCK can remember your conversations and coach you consistently over time.

3. How we use your data

We use your information to run BUCK: to power your coach's memory, track your goals and action items, provide support, keep the Service secure, and improve it.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that make BUCK work — for example, our AI model providers (to generate responses), speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers (to power voice), and hosting and email providers — and only as needed to provide the Service. BUCK is free, so we collect no payment details at all. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and conversation data while your account is open so BUCK can remember you. You can ask us to delete your data by emailing support@buck.app; we'll delete it except where we must keep records to meet our legal obligations.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

7. Your choices

You control what you tell BUCK — you don't have to share anything you're not comfortable with. You can stop using BUCK at any time and request deletion as described above.

8. Children

BUCK is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

If we update this policy in a material way, we'll let you know. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
